Community Build Project with The Timber Framers Guild

From July 18-25, The Timber Framers Guild @timberframersguild will be hosting a community building workshop to construct a timber framed open pavilion at The Wayside Inn. This is no ordinary building project – it’s an educational workshop! Stop by our grounds any time from July 18th to the 25th to observe the build and learn from the Guild Instructors who will be on site.

Want to do more than just observe? On July 25, any member of the community can engrave their name on a wooden peg and hammer it into the frame and even help raise the structure off the ground. The entire run of the workshop will be open rain or shine.

About the Timber Framers Guild:

Timber Framers Guild is a non-profit 501(c)(3) educational organization dedicated to promoting, honoring, and advancing the craft of timber framing. Since 1988, the Guild has organized programs that have resulted in the raising of nearly 100 timber frames for communities across North America and beyond. These structures offer new gathering places in the form of farmers' market pavilions, amphitheaters, bridges, and community centers.

As an educational organization, the Guild provides hands-on learning while creating their structures, sharing the story of timber framing by allowing members of the public to participate and observe the build.
